Okay! Today has been off to a great start! Keeping the fat low, the protein high and feeling hunger banish is a wonderful thing!! I have a new recommendation for one of my new FAVS! It's organize greek yogurt with 0% fat from OIKOS brand! They are delicious! I have tried the one's with honey and caramel on the bottom. Here is a link for coupons for one if you want to try them!

I am so exciting to go walking tonight down town and listen to a concert on the old capital lawn! Getting the Jeep stroller out and packing up my sweet little daughter for some fun/exercise!! Man, today has been great I just hope I do not splurge on anything reckless. I know I need to plan ahead for meals in order to avoid making bad food choices.

Good Progress & New Information!!
Today was a good day. Went to the local Health Dept for a service they offer that is actually pretty cool. It's called Medical Nutritional Therapy (MNT)! Now, I know a lot about healthy eating (if I do say so myself) but they taught me a lot. It was interesting and fun! They show you have many calories you should have to maintain your current weight, or lose weight. They actually break down how much fat, cards, sugar etc you need per day! It was so informative. They gave me a book of information also full or interesting food, and a few recipes and meal planners. This is something that reaffirmed all the good things I have been doing and gave me some new ideas. So, I would suggest anyone interested in losing weight, gaining slowly in pregnancy or maintaining their weight check it out!! I got to weight myself and was a few pounds heavier. But, I know water weight can fluctuate about 1-3 pounds daily so I was freaked out. I am always pleased to see my weight hasn't sky rocketed. That is always one of my biggest concerns!! I kept a journal for MNT and it has been so informal I think I am going to keep up with it to reflect personally!! I have done really well over all and have no complaints about my progress (other than the sweets but thats ME)!

Back on the Ball!!
Finally back into my weekly schedule! Man, the weekend menu is always so unpredictable. But, started off the morning with fresh fruit (watermelon and cantelope that was so juicy and tasted like candy) and a thin 110 calorie bagels with low fat cream cheese! Yum. Then for lunch we made wraps with the spinach wraps. Mine had turkey, tomatoe, arugala lettuce, low fat provolone cheese, 1/2 tsp of capers, and guacamole! Oh, man it was a delicious wrap and so filling. I also had greek yogurt with honey 0% fat! Super awesome. Feeling pumped after my visit to the grocery store. I've got some good stuff the munch on for the rest of the week. So, I don't have to worry until the weekend rolls around! We're planning on making home made pizza's with whole wheat crust and VEGGIES! I use mozzarelle cheese, tomatoes, spinach, olive, capers and artichokes on mine! Yum! Super filling and one of my favorite quick and easy dinners! So, this day has definitely been a great start to another week of healthy eating. I am so excited to go back to the doctor to monitor my body and my babies growth! Oh and by the way I only ate ONE CHOCOLATE cupcake yesterday! WOOHOO! Butttttt, (big BUT) I did have two servings of cherry upside down cake! Shame on my Mother for making that delicious creation!! I did go for a walk yesterday though so hopefully I burned some of that sugar and calories off through the exercise. Dessert is, and probably always will be, my main food ENEMY!! I am DYING to ZUMBA again! I might try to get it on Wii tonight and play a bit!!

Cupcakes, Eating out, Candy, OH MY!!!!
This has been a triumphant weekend for bad food choices! I have been doing so well at eating healthy meals to nourish my body and the little one within it. But, this weekend has been a free for all. My husband and I went to the movies, ate candy and snacks there, and then got take out from a local resteraunt. I ordered a baked, vegetable potatoes but got dessert. THEN, woke up Father's day and made cup cakes for our family cook out later. It is undetermined how many I will consume by the end of the day. But, we took a walk last night, I salsa danced and walked the night before and will hopefully go for a NICE LONG walk today! If I'm making poor food choices I might as well make good exercise choices! But, Monday the week will begin and get back to normal and I will toss the junk for the fresh fruits and vegetables! I've got a ton of fun, fitness theings coming up soon! I'm taking a beginner's belly dancing class in a few weeks and I will be swimming a lot more too! Plus, my garden is full of weeds that need to be pulled. That is always great exercise!! Well, I am taking these fast food blow pretty well because I know I will be back on that horse in no time!!

Doctors Apt!
I went to the Doctor yesterday and felt pretty great. I have been watching sodium, fast foods, and eating fresh fruits and vegetables. And I've been swimming and walking! So, my hard work has paid off! I have lost 3-4 pounds. This is not ideal for most pregnant women, but in my case, it's great. I gain water weight very easily, and was over weight prior to getting pregnant. So, I've lost water weight or fat. Now, this was not my intention but eater healthy and exercise is beneficial to my body and I know I have been doing well so I was very excited. I don't want to lose any more lbs. But, it would be nice to maintain my weight or only gain about 5-10 more. I think that is definitely feasible but it will be very hard! Because I will have to try to excerise but take it easy when necessary to avoid the swelling! I'm feeling great this pregnancy. My blood pressure was perfect and the Dr. said I didn't look like I was at risk for developing Preeclampsia!! I still haven't found out what I am having yet but either way I love this baby so much and am relieved to know that we are both healthy and doing very well!!

FRUIT!! (and funnel cakes)
Found some of my favorite fruits today at the grocery! Got the black cherries, farm fresh strawberries and watermelon! MMM! I love fresh fruit and I got a bag of my favorite italian salad with the low fat balsamic vinegrette dressing, which is my FAV!! It's expo weekend (A Fair thing in Frankfort) so I will be eating funnel cakes but I figured I would feel less guilt if I ate well before and after!! But, we have had a really fun weekend so far! We've been walking and next week we are going swimming! My favorite exercise!! Well Ta ta for now!!
