A Better Day

Today I woke up feeling much better. All of the stress from yesterday seemed to have melted away with a good nights sleep. Well, as good as you can get with a newborn. But, I got a great breakfast and am feeling pretty good. The weather is absolutely beautiful. The best kind of fall weather, the sun is warm but the breeze is cool. So, shawn and I took the babies for a walk. We walked to our favorite smoothie place, unfortunately they didn't have any low calories or low sugar options so I just looked around. I just mainly wanted to get out for the exercise. My rotten hubby got a turtle flavored smoothie-frostee type thing! I used the new five dollar pedometer-step counter thing I bought at Wal-mart last night. It calculated our short walk there and back as aroung 2200 steps which is a mile (it also has that feature too)! I walked a mile today very quickly. I'm going to try to keep walking it and eventually work up to running at least half of it. Man, I was walking so fast today I felt like bursting into a run! Oh, man if I was totally healed I would definitely have ran. It sucks so bad becuase my leg muscles felt good and warmed up and mentally I wanted to challenge myself but I know I can't just yet. I am going to try some new recipes tonight!! I am so excited! It's a vegetarian chili I found on hungry-girl.com. I will post some pics and the recipe later if it is a success! Well, today has been very good :) Just another day in a long journey!
